Anxiety and Depression

It’s not uncommon for people with low back pain to sometimes have stress, anxiety, or depression, especially if the pain is severe or lasts for a long time. Many people get anxious if their back pain doesn’t get better as fast as they expect. It’s frustrating for people when they are unable to perform their regular activities or are out of work because of low back pain. This frustration can add to anxiety or depression. Getting treatment for these conditions can be just as important as getting treatment for back pain.
