Flat or Inverted Nipples

If you have flat or inverted nipples, it can be harder for your baby to latch on to your breast. But that doesn’t mean you can’t breastfeed; it just means you may have to work a little harder to get started. Try gently rolling or touching your nipple. This stimulates the nipple and will often elongate it enough for your baby to grab hold.

If you’re experiencing any challenges, ask your healthcare team to refer you to a lactation consultant.
