The Family Advocacy Program can provide support and education to you and your family during your pregnancy, the postpartum period, and to your baby and family through the toddler years. The Family Advocacy Program provides you and your family with an understanding of the transitions that will likely occur as you and your spouse transition to parenthood for the first or subsequent times. Home visits are provided to pregnant women and for those families who have a child under age three.
Aside from the home visitations, the New Parent Support Program provides a number of classes and briefings at the Family Advocacy Office to meet the needs of military families. While the play group and walking group provide a place for children to play, new parents have opportunities to interact and build friendships and supportive ties with other military families. Services provided by the Family Advocacy Program, along with other parenting support classes, are voluntary and open to all members of the military community.
