Preplanning Introduction

TRANSCRIPT

Dr. Randall

The birth of your baby may seem to be a distant dream, but the time will be here before you know it. If you haven’t already done so, now is the time to start thinking about some of the decisions that you’ll be faced with at the end of your pregnancy.

You may want to consider the methods of pain relief that will be available to you during delivery. If this is not your first child, and you’ve had a Cesarean section in the past, you may want to consider a VBAC for this delivery. VBAC stands for vaginal birth after Cesarean, and it’s an excellent option for many women. How you’ll feed your baby, whether to have a baby boy circumcised, and some of the ways that you can prepare your home for your baby are other things that you’ll want to think about in advance.

Remember, the more prepared you are before the delivery, the less stress you’ll experience when your baby is born.
