Fetal Movement

Dr. Randall

Early in your third trimester, you’ll be feeling your baby move around quite regularly. Keep in mind that your baby should move at least 10 times in a two-hour period.

The best time to count the movements is when your baby is usually most active. This may be before or after a meal, early in the morning, or at night when you go to bed. Remember, each baby is unique.

If you don’t feel 10 movements in two hours, time them again. If you’re still not feeling proper movement, be sure to let your healthcare team know as soon as possible.
