Malignant breast disease, or breast cancer, is cancer that begins in the breast tissue. There are two main types of breast cancer: ductal carcinoma, which originates in the breast ducts, and lobular carcinoma, which originates in the lobules. In rare cases, breast cancer can start in other areas of the breast.
